📍 Houston, TX - MADabolic has signed a lease to open within The Ion District in midtown Houston. MADabolic Ion District will be operated by multi-unit owner, Vincent Ronca, following his first location, MADabolic The Heights, which launched in 2023. Vinnie, who was also named MADabolic's 2024 VIP at MADabolic's Annual Franchise Conference last October, originally found the brand as a member in the Washington, D.C. area. When it was time to return to his hometown of Houston, he knew it wouldn't feel the same without bringing MADabolic along. “Houston is an incredible market, and Vinnie’s dedication to the brand and his ability to create an outstanding client experience make him the ideal person to lead our expansion,” shared Brandon Cullen, MADabolic’s Co-Founder and Chief Concept Officer. “We’re thrilled to see him take this next step.” Construction will start later this spring - check out the full story here: https://lnkd.in/exXRU9zQ #HoustonFitness #IonDistrict #Houston #StrengthTraining #Entrepreneur #FitnessFranchise

How to stand out in your market? Leverage the right partners to streamline operations and increase efficiency. “Operational capacity has never been more critical,” said Brandon Cullen, co-founder and chief concept officer, MADabolic, noting rising costs of real estate, labor, expertise, goods and materials. In the latest episode of the Playing Guilty podcast, MADabolic Co-Founder Brandon Cullen reflects on the values that shaped his career—from professional hockey to building MADabolic—and why they still hold true today. A decade after sharing these values in a TEDxCharlotte talk, these principles remain foundational to the values behind MADabolic: - Respect others' time. Our locked door policy is about more than punctuality—it’s about commitment. - Look the part. Ever notice how our trainers rep MAD colors on the floor? It’s intentional. How you show up matters. - Results happen outside the spotlight. The work you put in when no one’s watching determines your success. - Stay in your lane. High-functioning teams win because each member executes their role with precision. Balance is good, but greatness takes focus. MADabolic 🤝 GORUCK We're pleased to announce a new partnership to launch ruck clubs out of select MADabolic locations beginning this spring in collaboration with GORUCK. “Partnering with GORUCK was a natural fit for us,” says Kirk Dewaele, Co-Founder and Chief Training Officer of MADabolic. “Rucking is the perfect way for our clients to take their functional strength training outside of the gym and put it to work in both a practical and social environment. It’s challenging but inclusive, and it aligns beautifully with our mission to promote a structured and sustainable approach to strength and conditioning.” Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/dWnseSFx #fitnessfranchise #fitnessindustry #strengthandconditioning #rucking #goruck #ruckclub #functionaltraining

"Toned." Arguably the most destructive word in the fitness industry, luring the unsuspecting into a sea of confusion and subpar results. Driven by the fear of "getting bulky" while chasing the elusive "toned" physique, far too many people are sacrificing strength and long-term progress. Let's cut through the noise: "Getting toned" is a misnomer. It's code for "getting lean." What most people actually need to reach their goals and sustain them for the long haul is not punishingly long treadmill sessions or pumping out reps with the lightest pair of dumbbells you can find in the bin beside the weight rack. Rather, results are made from a progressive, consistent, and structured approach to strength training and a healthy dose of the fundamentals (think 7+ hours of sleep per night, a nutrient-dense diet, and scheduled rest days). Rewiring your brain to embrace strength training and its transformative effects on your body composition might require effort. Decades of fitness misinformation have warped our perception of what it means to be strong and healthy. Start by erasing words like "toned" and "bulky" from your vocabulary. These ideas are fleeting illusions. Replace them with one word: strong. Commit to a consistent strength training regimen that challenges you and pushes you to your limits - as in, go lift something heavy today. Focus on building a foundation of strength and resilience, and the results will take care of themselves. Let's get to work.
