    Meet Kyle! Kyle is the Teller Operations Supervisor at our Hammond St. branch. He has been with Maine Savings for three years, starting as a teller and soon after being promoted to his current role. In his position, Kyle monitors and manages daily teller operations for the branch, using his judgment and leadership to navigate various challenges that may arise. Kyle values putting our members first, focusing on their needs rather than just selling products. He also really thrives in his role due to the variety of challenges it brings. Kyle says he enjoys being tested and the complexity of new situations that happen daily. Kyle also has many hobbies outside of work. He is an avid chess player, a reader, and enjoys playing video games that require strategic thinking. He also dreams of visiting Reykjavik, Iceland, and going on World War II history tours throughout Europe.

    Maine Savings Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the promotion of Raymond Mayhew to the position of Vice President of IT Operations. With over 23 years of experience at Maine Savings and a wealth of knowledge in both IT and administration, Mayhew brings a unique skill set and dedication to his new leadership role. Raymond Mayhew, a lifelong resident of Maine and graduate of Hampden Academy, began his career at Maine Savings in 2001. Over the years, he has held several critical positions, including Corporate Trainer, where he played an instrumental role in designing a Maine Savings training program. His diverse experience also includes retail operations and overseeing key business applications, such as MeridianLink, which ultimately led him into the IT department. “Raymond’s journey from administration to IT is a testament to his dedication and ability to adapt and lead in new areas,” said Adam Kavanagh, Chief Information Officer at Maine Savings. “His leadership in IT operations has already brought innovation and improved processes. I am confident that in his new role, he will continue to push the boundaries of what we can achieve.” In addition to his professional achievements, Raymond is deeply involved in his community. He serves on the Bangor Region Leadership Institute (BRLI) Steering Committee and actively volunteers with his local church. “Raymond’s commitment to Maine Savings and the community exemplifies the values we stand for,” said Vanessa Madore, President and CEO of Maine Savings. “He is a true trailblazer, and we are fortunate to have him leading our IT operations.     Meet Mackayla! Mackayla is one of the tellers at our Hammond St. branch. In her role, she assists members daily with their financial needs and has quickly become an essential part of the team at the branch over the last year she has been at Maine Savings. Mackayla enjoys being a teller and finds great joy in building strong professional relationships with members. Outside of work, Mackayla loves spending time outdoors and enjoys quality moments with her family. She also has a passion for restoring old vehicles and embarking on road trips. One of her top bucket list items is to go on another cruise. A piece of advice Mackyala would share with others is to go with the flow and take it one day at a time. Always have a positive and adaptable outlook on life!

    Maine Savings Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the promotion of Steve Gray to Vice President of Communications. Steve joined Maine Savings in 2021 as the Digital Marketing Director, bringing a decade of experience in marketing from a local auto group. Since then, he has been instrumental in enhancing Maine Savings’ digital presence and driving member engagement through innovative strategies. Steve is a proud graduate of Eastern Maine Community College, where he earned an Associate degree in Computer Systems. He later completed his Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature at Southern New Hampshire University and is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing. His passion for creativity and communication has made a lasting impact on Maine Savings' brand and member experience. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Steve is an active volunteer in the community. He serves on the leadership committee for Champion the Cure Challenge and participates in the Maine Credit Union League's Social Responsibility Committee.     Meet Abby! Abby is a Member Service Representative/Loan Officer at our Brewer branch and has been with Maine Savings for 6 years. Abby started with us as an Assistant Teller Operations Supervisor at the Hampden branch before transitioning to the Brewer branch as a Teller Operations Supervisor. Over time she expanded her responsibilities, becoming an MSR/LO. For Abby, the most rewarding part of her job is helping members through significant milestones or challenging times. Whether she approves a member’s first car loan or provides a Helping Hand Loan during a tough time, she finds joy in making a positive impact on their lives. Abby says no loan is the same, and that keeps things interesting. Outside of work, Abby’s hobbies shift with the seasons. In the summer, her family enjoys camping and spending time outdoors. In the winter, her family loves to go snowmobiling. Abby also loves supporting her daughter’s gymnastics and treasures Saturday mornings watching her daughter grow and have fun! If Abby could have one superpower, it would be the ability to be in two places at once. With a busy life full of family, work, and activities, she wishes there were more hours in the day, but she wouldn’t change a thing!

    Maine Savings has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer reporting directly to our Senior Vice President of Mortgage Lending. This position will serve the greater Bangor area. Among other responsibilities, the successful candidates will: - Review and evaluate information on mortgage loan documents to determine if the buyer, property, and loan conditions meet credit union and governmental standards. Approve or reject the loan application or request additional information. Establish the terms and conditions of an approved loan and review them with the member. - Cross-sell other credit union services. - Develop relationships with the Real Estate Broker community to create a network of contacts and referral sources. - Actively solicit opportunities to provide all types of government loans including FHA, Rural Development, VA, MSHA, etc. - Interview loan applicants to record income, debt, and credit history and request appropriate documentation to verify the accuracy of the information provided, including tax returns, bank accounts, purchase agreements, property descriptions, and other required documents. - Determine if the applicant meets Credit Union standards for further consideration and/or call the applicant or other person(s) to resolve discrepancies. Inform the applicant of closing costs, such as appraisal, credit report, and notary fees. Answer the applicant's questions and ask for signatures on information authorization forms.     Meet Susan! Susan is the Assistant Branch Manager at our Ellsworth branch and has been a part of Maine Savings for over 21 years! Throughout her tenure at Maine Savings, Susan has played a part in various roles, including Teller, Teller Operations Supervisor, and Member Service Representative/Loan Officer. Susan is deeply committed and passionate about providing quick and efficient service to our members. She takes pride in identifying the needs of our members and growing relationships with repeat members, all spanning over 20 years. Susan feels her biggest accomplishment is her two wonderful children. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, children, and family, often saying, “family time is the best time.” She also enjoys reading, gardening, four wheeling, and traveling, with Walt Disney World being a favorite destination. A piece of advice she would share is to never be too comfortable in what you do; always be willing to learn something new each day. Seek challenges and push yourself because no one else is going to do it for you.

    Maine Savings is searching for a full-time Payroll and Benefits Administrator. This position will be responsible for the administration and processing of payroll and benefits in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with State and Federal regulations. As a Payroll and Benefits Administrator, you can expect to: - Administer payroll systems and processes: timekeeping and reporting, reviewing source data and reports for accuracy, maintaining data such as new hires, promotions, terminations, differentials, bonuses, incentives, retro/manual pays, and tax deductions. - Lead benefits administration for new hires and open enrollment. In addition, you will serve as the first point of contact for benefits questions and interpretation. - Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws for all state and federal regulations. May research regulations for states outside Maine, based on business needs. - Respond to inquiries regarding payroll deductions, leave accruals, hours, wage garnishments, and other topics as necessary. - Write and maintain reports using various reporting tools. - Recommend process and service improvements relative to payroll, benefits, and policies.
