Yesterday I taught a design workshop as part of MALIKAH’s College & Career Readiness program. I had the privilege of teaching a group of high schoolers, amazing young women from MENA & Muslim backgrounds, all about design and UX. I answered their burning questions about life as a professional designer and we worked through a fun design thinking exercise. The prompt was simple: teach someone how to make a peanut butter & jelly sandwich! 🍞Yet we ended our ideation with so many creative ways to communicate the task to our audience, from diagrams to detailed drawings to written lists. Thank you MALIKAH and Raneem Elsayed for hosting this important program and inviting me to be a guest speaker. Look out world, there are some incredibly bright and creative new designers in town! 💡 #uxdesign #designthinking
