Residents of Bellamy celebrated the grand opening of a brand new community defibrillator and bleed kit on Saturday 27 July. The event, held at Trowell Court, Bellamy Estate was to launch the new lifesaving equipment, which has been funded by the amazing volunteer groups, Bellamy Road Tenants and Residents Association and Friends of Bellamy. Defibrillators are devices that apply an electric charge or current to the heart to restore a normal heartbeat. If the heart rhythm stops due to cardiac arrest, a defibrillator may help it start beating again. The event also included a raffle with 30 prizes to raise funds for the upkeep of the new equipment. For more information about the work at Trowell Court, contact Kirsty Armstrong-Booth at karmstrongbooth@mansfieldcvs.org

Become a Community Research Champion/Connector: Make a Difference in Your Community! 💻 Did you know that areas with the highest health challenges often have the fewest people participating in health research? These areas also tend to have lower earnings and higher levels of deprivation. This means the health research we rely on might not fully reflect the experiences and needs of everyone, especially those facing the toughest challenges. To change this, we need people like you. By becoming a Community Research Champion/Connector, you can help ensure health research includes voices from all parts of our community, leading to better health outcomes for everyone. If you have any questions or would like to apply, please contact Mansfield CVS at info@mansfieldcvs.org. We look forward to hearing from you! #research #communityconnector
