The City of Mansfield City Council and staff were chanting "Olé, Olé, Olé" as we broke ground on Mansfield Stadium with project partners including REV Entertainment, FC Dallas, and North Texas SC.   Mansfield residents will have a new home team to cheer on when the MLS NEXT Pro champion North Texas SC move into the 7,500-seat facility when it opens in 2026! REV Entertainment and FC Dallas will serve as the multi-sport venue's main operator with a focus on bringing events and sports programming year-round including youth soccer and international tournaments. Mansfield is shaping up to become the southern gateway to soccer in the Metroplex.   The Stadium will be part of the upcoming Staybolt Street Entertainment District that will become the premiere destination for fun in Mansfield that will include a High 5 Entertainment, conference center, and hotels.

  • Mansfield City Council was joined by the Mansfield Independent School District Board of Trustees and project leaders earlier this month to celebrate breaking ground on Geyer Commons. “Mansfield residents have been asking for a third space like this, a location that’s not work or home but allows friends and family to come together,” City Council member Juan Fresquez said. “I look forward to seeing life flourish in this part of town as neighbors meet and children play.” This project will offer all this and more, creating a place for residents to gather with a community pavilion, and makers space to name a few features. ”Geyer Commons will be a boon to the revitalization happening downtown to ensure the heart of our city continues to be a hub of community,” Mayor Pro Tem Todd Tonore said. The City expects Phase 1A construction to be complete in fall 2025. Learn more about the project online: GeyerCommons.com.

  • City Council celebrated the groundbreaking for High 5 Entertainment coming to Mansfield. The family-friendly entertainment destination will bring bowling, laser tag, mini golf, and a rooftop live music venue to the Staybolt District along 360 south of Hawaiian Falls and Mansfield Sports Park in December 2025. "We are grateful to everyone in the Mansfield community that has participated in the vision, careful planning, and diligence to get High 5 and Staybolt Live off the ground," said Scott Emley, President of High 5 and Staybolt Live. "There is nothing like this in the country; a live music and experiential entertainment destination built for Mansfield and North Texas residents, while also serving tourists, traveling youth sports families, Staybolt Live concertgoers, and fans attending the adjacent Mansfield sports stadium." In the last community survey, residents overwhelmingly stated a desire to see more restaurant, retail, and entertainment spaces in Mansfield. “Residents of all ages should be excited to get a place to play, have fun, and create memories here in Mansfield,” said Mayor Michael Evans.

  • Mansfield City Council joined with team members from Crystal Pacific Window & Door Systems to celebrate the start of construction on the company's new advanced manufacturing facility and regional corporate headquarters. The development, located near Heritage Parkway and U.S. 287, will create 504 new jobs and features more than $121 million in capital investment. Crystal Window and Door Systems is a national manufacturer of quality, energy-efficient vinyl and aluminum windows and high-end fenestration systems. The new headquarters is part of Crystal Window and Door Systems TX, LTD. a subsidiary of Crystal Window and Door Systems, LTD. “I started this company in 1990 with a small commercial operation in New York City, and with focus, determination, and a lot of hard work with dedicated employees, Crystal is now a national manufacturer with five major production facilities across the country,” said Crystal Chairman and Founder Thomas Chen. “Our products are used in some of the most notable buildings throughout the nation, and I am thrilled to bring our expertise to the great state of Texas.” This development is possible through a $3,150,000 Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) grant and a $15,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus from the State of Texas. The project will be completed in phases over a period of several years. "They say, 'When God closes a door, he opens a window,' but I believe this partnership is a wide open door and window for Mansfield and the state of Texas," said Mansfield Mayor Michael Evans. "This is economic development in action, and it would not be possible without the hard work of city and state staff showing why Mansfield and Texas are where businesses want to be."
