  • 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠! On Thursday, October 3rd MRC co-hosted a 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 along with the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, Workforce Board Lehigh Valley, and Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation to bring together industry leaders, local officials, and community members in recognition of the importance of manufacturing.   This gathering, part of the nationwide Manufacturing Day celebrations, featured an engaging program focused on economic outlooks, workforce trends, and the vital role of manufacturing in offering diverse and lucrative employment opportunities that drive economic growth. Throughout the program, distinguished speakers shared critical insights on the economic outlook, workforce updates, and trends in managing your company’s online presence, cybersecurity, energy efficiency, and tech and tax considerations impacting the manufacturing sector for job creation and business sustainability.  Another highlight of this event was the presentation of the 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 award to 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐥𝐚 recognizing the company’s enduring legacy and commitment to innovation, and community investment. Richard Hobbs, President and CEO of the Manufacturers Resource Center proudly presented the award to 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐖𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐤𝐢, 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐥𝐚.   • ✨ Our 2024-2025 season is off to an incredible start, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Leo Gilroy from NEPIRC, our affiliate PA Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) center, kicked things off with an engaging Project Management session, covering essentials like Project Charters, Leadership, and Coaching. One class down, five more to go! Next up, Wendy Beltzner launched our Train the Trainer program, focusing on the science of adult learning, setting effective learning objectives, and diving deep into learning cycles and styles. Everyone loved the interactive PB&J Challenge! Richard Titus, Ph.D. took our Yellow Belt class to new heights, using the DMAIC approach (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) to improve business processes. Day 2 got our participants actively engaged with the Statapult® exercise, exploring process capability and Lean tools. Congratulations to all on earning their Yellow Belt certifications! 🎉 Our HR Forum, led by CCI Consulting and Ogletree Deakins, opened with an insightful Labor & Employment Update. Wayne Pinkstone provided updates on current employment laws, covering everything from paid leave to overtime rules and workplace politics. Next, Rick Neulight facilitated our CEO Forum, with Luke Tilley, Chief Economist at Wilmington Trust, giving us the 2025 Capital Markets Forecast. Wrapping up, Craig Kasper led our Lehigh Valley Supervisor Boot Camp, where participants explored key leadership traits and worked on strategies for managing change within their teams.
