When disaster strikes, our Manus family comes together.🤝   Amidst the chaos of Hurricane Helene, our Augusta BioFacility team is in the process of a resilient recovery. Sandy, a dedicated employee, faced severe damage to her home but found refuge and support from her colleagues.   Sandy has worked there since she was 21, experiencing various ownerships and eras – including when the plant shut down and production moved to China.   Later, when Manus acquired the site and began transforming it into one of the largest biomanufacturing facilities in the U.S., we were fortunate to rehire Sandy and have her contribute to the economy of the future.   Sandy’s house and property were severely affected by the storm. A tree blocked her driveway and her beloved garden, nurtured for many years, was destroyed.   With no power or gas, and her phone battery running low, she headed to our BioFacility, which still had power, and camped out in the office. When colleagues heard about her situation, they quickly welcomed her into their home.   After a week, power was restored, and Sandy could return to her house. This weekend, the Manus crew showed up to help Sandy with her property and garden. They cut down hanging tree limbs, chopped up fallen trees, and helped clean up the damage.   A tractor and employee from John Deere even joined in.   This experience reminds us of the strength and resilience of our Manus family. Together we can overcome any challenge. 💪   #ManusFamily #HurricaneHelene #Community #Resilience #Biotech #AugustaStrong

Congratulations to Massachusetts Institute of Technology on the launch of The Climate Project, a major new effort to change the trajectory of global climate outcomes. Combining the efforts of over 300 faculty and senior researchers, this series of six “missions” are built to focus MIT’s talent and resources to achieve real-world impact, faster than ever before. Born out of the same research university, Manus was founded by CEO Ajikumar Parayil, Greg Stephanopoulos, along with a group of biochemical engineers at MIT, who saw the opportunity to address critical gaps in the sustainable sourcing of chemicals and ingredients using biotechnology. Expanding on this work, Manus has industrialized and scaled the production of a diverse range of complex, plant-based natural products – bioalternatives – showcasing the benefits and potential of synthetic biology. Much like The Climate Project Team, Manus is firmly committed to pioneering sustainable solutions and delivering real impact. We believe in the power of synthetic biology to revolutionize industries and we are dedicated to accelerating the transition to bioalternatives for a more sustainable future. Congratulations to all at MIT on this historic milestone: https://lnkd.in/e445x6-k #biomanufacturing #biotechnology #MadeByManus #MIT #TheClimateProject

At Manus, we are building the future of biomanufacturing in Augusta, Georgia. In partnership with Georgia Bio and Augusta Technical College, we are developing a biotech curriculum to train the next generation of skilled professionals. This initiative is key to transforming biomanufacturing and strengthening supply chain resilience with biobased solutions. With one of the largest precision fermentation facilities in the country, we are expanding U.S. biomanufacturing and generating economic opportunities for the region. Our BioFacility, with a current capacity of 1.3 million liters, is on track to become a 2-million-liter hub for large-scale production of bioalternatives. Manus is making real progress today, driving innovation and creating bioalternatives for a more sustainable future. We are proud to contribute to Augusta’s growth as a center of biomanufacturing excellence. #Biomanufacturing #Bioeconomy #InnovationInAmerica #GeorgiaManufacturing #MadeByManus

Our annual Boston BioFacility end-of-summer BBQ was a blast! The team enjoyed some great food, friendly games of cornhole, and a yummy ice cream sundae bar. We even got to give our families a tour of our new, state-of-the-art Boston facilities. But the best part was spending quality time with our passionate team and their loved ones. We are grateful for their hard work and everything they do to accelerate the transition to bioalternatives. Here is to another successful year of innovation and growth! #MadeByManus #CompanyPicnic #bioeconomy #biotechnology
