Wetter springs and unpredictable summers: What does this mean for nitrogen management? Farm Progress is great for new tech, but this year I really enjoyed getting a climatologist's perspective on future weather in the Midwest. I attended Farm Progress and listened to Dr. Dennis Todey (Director of the Midwest Climate Hub in Ames, IA) talk about the shifting climate, and after this, I began to see that the future of nitrogen management might be a growing challenge as we see more intense, large rainfalls in the spring. Check out my latest article, where I share my thoughts about what it will take to stay ahead of what the future spring weather will bring.
