  • Did you know: Today, nearly 1 in 5 girls do not complete lower-secondary education? And nearly 4 in 10 girls do not complete upper-secondary school. As we recognize International Day of the Girl Child, we join in celebrating the power of girls’ voices and their vision for a brighter future. This year’s theme, ‘Girls’ Vision for the Future’, reminds us of the urgent need to address the barriers girls continue to face. Education is a critical key to unlocking girls’ potential, yet too many girls are still denied this basic right. This impacts not only their lives but also the strength of their families, communities, and economies. At the Conferences for Women, we stand with advocates like Malala, who work passionately for equal access to education. With the right support and resources, the potential of the world’s 1.1 billion girls is truly limitless. When girls lead, everyone benefits, and our collective future is brighter. Watch Malala’s inspiring words from the 2019 Massachusetts Conference for Women. For 20 years, #MassWomen speakers like Malala have shared stories of chasing dreams, working through challenges, and making change happen. There is #PowerInUnity, and the best way to forge forward is together. The 2024 Massachusetts Conference for Women is now sold out. If you missed out on tickets, we hope to see you at the 2025 National Conference for Women! Learn more here: https://bit.ly/3BECSCK

New census data reveals that while both men and women saw gains in earnings last year, the gender wage gap has widened for the first time since 2003. Women's median earnings rose just 1.5% compared to a 3% increase for men. As a result, women working full-time in 2023 earned only 83% of what their male counterparts made, down from 84% in 2022. Why does this matter? Despite progress, gender inequities in the workplace persist. Women—especially younger women, women of color, and those re-entering the workforce—continue to face systemic challenges that slow career advancement and limit earnings potential. Read more: https://bit.ly/3Xr7fUp At the #ConferencesForWomen, one of our missions is to help close this gap. We are committed to eliminating gender discrimination, achieving parity in leadership, and creating pathways for women to thrive. As we gather at our annual events, we are reminded of the power of community in driving change.
