Employees at Henkels & McCoy’s Blue Bell, PA, headquarters fulfilled our sacred promise today to never forget the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and the nearly 3,000 individuals who lost their lives on that fateful day. VALOR, H&M’s Veterans ERG group, marked the solemn anniversary by offering employees time for reflection and the opportunity to place flags beneath the large US flag on H&M’s front lawn. Throughout the day, particularly during the times when the Towers collapsed, the Pentagon was attacked, and Flight 93 went down, employees remembered the unthinkable events that unfolded that morning 23 years ago and the lives that were lost and changed forever. We also remembered those who were injured during the attacks and those who selflessly served others: the first responders, volunteers, rescue and recovery workers, uniformed safety personnel, and the hundreds of thousands of others who serve, or have served in our armed forces here at home and overseas to protect us. 🚧 Safety is Our Foundation 🚧 Our San Diego Civil and Gas teams at H&M West recently completed a full-day safety standdown, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to proactive safety measures. We're proud to be a company that prioritizes the well-being of our team, ensuring that safety always comes first. The day was packed with invaluable insights, including: • Lessons Learned: Reflecting on recent incidents to reinforce our commitment to safety. • Wildfire Safety & Protocols: Emphasizing the importance of preparedness in our high-risk areas. • PACE Driving: Reinforcing best practices for safe driving under various conditions. • Equipment Safety: Sharing best practices for handling equipment safely. A special highlight was a powerful presentation by a CHP Officer on vehicle safety, reminding us all of the critical need for vigilance on the road. We were also deeply moved by a guest speaker who shared his harrowing experience of surviving being buried alive when a 6-foot trench collapsed on him. His story serves as a stark reminder of why our safety protocols are non-negotiable. At H&M West, safety isn’t just a priority—it’s a core value.
