Mastercard announces today a first-of-its-kind, public-private collaboration with Buna, the Arab Regional Payment System, to enable fast, transparent and cost-efficient cross-border payments for people and businesses into and out of the MENA region. Mastercard’s joining Buna’s cross-border payment systems as a direct participant will address current pain points such as high costs, delays and lack of transparency when moving funds into and out of MENA. This collaboration underscores our commitment to improving cross-border payments by connecting existing systems and boosting their reach and efficiency.
