Our Washington DC Women’s Forum, co-chaired by partners Grace Shie and Amber Thomson, hosted a memorable International Women’s Day event for all lawyers featuring Chef Ris Lacoste, the executive chef-owner of RIS. To celebrate International Women’s Day in Brazil, we distributed bracelets made by local female artisans. Purchase of the bracelets helped support the recovery of those affected by flooding in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Colleagues were also encouraged to send messages to those who inspire them in their day-to-day work and place them in “inspiration boxes” set up in our Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo offices. #IWD 

Mayer Brown offices around the world celebrated International Women’s Day with enthusiasm. In Hong Kong, office members gathered to enjoy a happy hour event with games and cupcakes from one of our pro bono clients, The Good Cake, a bakery that uses its earnings to buy rice for elderly women living in poverty in Hong Kong. In London, colleagues gathered to honor and celebrate the achievements of the remarkable women within our firm and around the world, while in Germany, colleagues gathered over cake and coffee to reflect on #IWD.

Allison is a trial lawyer in Mayer Brown’s award-winning Intellectual Property practice, who has represented clients in successfully litigating and resolving IP and other high-tech disputes in courts and Alternative Dispute Resolution proceedings across the country. She regularly advises companies in streaming, software, media, and consumer products industries at the vanguard of law and technology. In addition to her litigation practice, Allison will now oversee the strategic direction and operations of the New York Office, ensuring that it continues to provide top-tier legal services and innovative solutions to clients.
