Our July 4th celebration not only included great food and good music, but also included an ice cream truck outside that treated all employees to a cool treat! A huge thank you to Up In Smoke for catering our event and to Brain Freeze Dessert Truck for supplying the sweets for all shifts. We're thankful for our amazing team members and hope everyone had a great time. One team, one mission.

McEntire Produce has been in the produce business ever since 1938, and has grown to become a leader in the areas of quality, service, reliability and innovation. The company now employs approximately 600 people and has moved to a new, 163,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility with the capacity for future expansion. This facility will allow us to process a greater variety and larger quantity of produce products. Located only five miles from the old facility, it is a secure, food-safe environment for processing fresh fruits and vegetables.

We have worked alongside Manning Reentry Work Release Center for more than 10 years and are proud to continue our relationship as we help provide second chances to returning citizens. We've seen many success stories over the years and look forward to adding to that list with each new program participant.
South Carolina’s Second Chance initiative not only helps create a pathway to employment for returning citizens, it provides employers with a larger pool of skilled workers, as well as hiring incentives, making for a more robust workforce. McEntire Produce is just one of our many Second Chance success stories. The company works with the South Carolina Department of Corrections’ Manning facility as part of its work release program, which allows individuals the opportunity to build job skills prior to reentry. One program participant is a current McEntire Produce employee who started at the company as a general laborer and has since worked up to the role of Facility Tech II. Upon release, this employee will have a permanent job at McEntire, as well as gained experience and knowledge on different areas of facility work in a manufacturing workplace.
