Dr. Rifkin will present the session, “Observation Care: Overview of Current Utilization and Anticipated Impact of Widespread Implementation of the Two-Midnight Rule,” on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. MDT. This session will focus on the utilization trends of observation vs. inpatient care in the wake of recent clarifications to the Two-Midnight Rule from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Dr. Rifkin will share with #casemanagement professionals how evolving evidence and data may influence clinical decisions around the appropriate level of care for medical patients in hospital emergency departments.
