Thank you to Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation for their recent grant for the new Family Medicine Residency Program at McLaren Northern Michigan. As part of the Rural Residency Training Track Program, resident physicians spend their first year at McLaren Flint and two years in Petoskey at McLaren Northern Michigan. Our first resident physicians arrived Up North in 2023 and we look forward to welcoming the second class to Petoskey this summer! We recently hosted Sarah Ford from the Community Foundation for a site visit and to meet with Residency Program Faculty who work with our resident physicians. We want to introduce you to the story of a young patient on a challenging road to recovery. Recently diagnosed with a juvenile autoimmune disorder, he faced painful rashes and muscle weakness, moving from a lively little boy to navigating the world of medical treatments. Your support has helped create an incentive program with a “reward box” to motivate him during his physical therapy sessions. Join us in making this journey a little bit brighter for this young patient. Your generosity can bring smiles, fun activities, and encouragement! To learn more visit https://lnkd.in/gXFhpyDR
