Joanna Stern of The Wall Street Journal shares her experience as an EV owner for the past year. It's good to get a view that balances the EV hype from a few years ago with the industry's embellished demise over the last 6-12 months. MD7 remains committed to the robust development of EV charging stations in North America and Europe, consistent with consumer demand and adequate funding. #EVCharging #digitalinfrastrucutre #md7life #unlimitedpossibilities https://lnkd.in/gGBU6MXn

Stadium operators and telecom carriers continue to invest in digital infrastructure to meet the demands for data-intensive applications at professional sporting events. In her recent Forbes article, Melody Brue, Moor Insights & Strategy, gives us the play-by-play. In recapping her MLB All-Star experience at @Globe Life Field, Melody writes: This year, T-Mobile added three high-speed cameras that captured the action at up to 4,500 frames per second, providing incredibly detailed slow-motion footage of the ball's impact on the bat as each slugger took his swings. The 5G network allowed for remote production, transmitting high-quality footage from the stadium directly to the studio without hard-wiring additional cameras. This enabled viewers to see every nuance of the swings in real-time. Additionally, 5G-connected drone, POV, and fan cameras provided unique and expansive views of the field and stadium, so fans—even those tuning in from the office—wouldn't miss a thing. https://lnkd.in/gqXjzzTv #UnlimitedPossibilities #DigitalInfrastructure #MLB #5G

It is said that when Ray Kroc, creator of the McDonald's franchise, asked a group of college students what business he was in, they replied, fast food! And then he quickly corrected them and said, "No, I am in the real estate business." While McDonald's Big Macs may have been a tasty fast-food novelty, it was Kroc's well-selected real estate that sold burgers. Similarly, you could say that the operators of cellular networks are not in the "phone business" but the real estate business. As of 2024, there are approximately 10 million cell sites globally. This number includes cell towers, rooftop sites, and small cells providing worldwide mobile connectivity. The growth in the number of cell sites is driven by increasing demand for mobile data, AI, and the ongoing rollout of 5G networks, which require a denser network of cell sites to provide adequate coverage and capacity. (Source The 3G4G Blog) Without well-located cell sites, we will not have adequate coverage, and without coverage, mobile operators can't sell airtime -- no matter how cool the latest handset is. Underneath every one of the 10 million cell sites in the world is a piece of real property that must be acquired, developed, and managed year after year. We love what we do! #DigitalInfrastructure #5G #AI #Bandwidth #UnlimitedPossibilities #celltowers #cellsites

"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." - Neil Armstrong as he took his first step onto the moon on July 20, 1969 Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin were the first people ever to step foot on the moon, and in February of this year, Texas-based Intuitive Machines was the first private company to land on the moon. As we commemorate the 1969 lunar landing, do you wonder if the moon will ever have developed property on its surface? MD7 is ready to provide the management services needed for infrastructure there. We already service six continents and 33 countries -- why not the moon, too? #UnlimitedPossibilities #SpaceTravel #MoonLanding #DigitalInfrastructure

According to energy.gov nuclear power plants are providing 20% of the energy used in the United States via the electrical grid. The challenge is to offload the grid completely and have data centers (and other facilities) source power from the plants directly. An example would be US Navy Aircraft carriers powered by nuclear reactors since the 1960’s. MD7 CEO, Michael Gianni posted an interesting article from The Wall Street Journal, Tech Industry Wants to Lock Up Nuclear Power for AI this week about how data centers are exploring opportunities to become nuclear powered almost exclusively to offload the grid. Do you think this is feasible? Is it needed? Contribute you thoughts and opinions below. We'd love to hear them. #energy #nuclearpower #datacenters #AI #MD7 #unlimitedpossibilities
“While AI has the potential to revolutionize nuclear energy, several challenges remain, including regulatory hurdles, public perception, and the high initial costs associated with nuclear power plants. However, with advancements in AI technology and ongoing concerns about climate change, AI could play a crucial role in making nuclear energy more viable and widely accepted. #AI #energytrasition #infrastructure” https://lnkd.in/gTG_YfEj
