Meet our Lead Engineer for our defense programs, Charles Njenga! 👋 Charles specifically works on the KC-135 and C-130J integrations, laying the foundational design that the team will follow and integrate to on the defense platforms. He liaises with the customer on behalf of the team and lead technical discussions. When asked what his favorite part about his work at Merlin is, Charles shared, "I love the design challenge of adapting the Merlin Pilot to various military platforms. I enjoy having to figure out the differences from a technical and certification perspective. I love the hands-on approach that allows me to get my hands dirty. I love getting different perspectives from the customer with different needs to address." Outside of work, Charles enjoys spending time with his family and friends, running, and cycling! He loves traveling to different parts of the USA and the world and has been to France, Germany, Turkey, South Korea, Japan, Canada, Kenya, Jamaica, Curacao, Bahamas, Haiti, and Mexico so far.
