🎬 Lights, camera, action! 🎥 Last week our Morning Sentinel team was joined by Jonathan Slade, a McDaniel College professor and acclaimed documentary filmmaker. Jonathan interviewed our very own Lisa DeSisto as part of his upcoming documentary, "Small Town Press: How to Save the American Newspaper." 📰 We're proud to be a part of this important project that sheds light on the vital role of #localjournalism in our communities.

Our CEO Lisa DeSisto joined Maine media colleagues Micaela Schweitzer-Bluhm, Jo Easton, Chris Crockett, and Nat Barrows of Penobscot Bay Press to talk about the importance of local news. The packed house of devoted newspapers readers leaned in for this lively and hopeful discussion at the Blue Hill Public Library last night. The panel was moderated by Pamela Maffei McCarthy. Thank you to Ellen Booraem of Word. Blue Hill Literary Arts Festival for making this evening happen! photo credit: Stephen Greenberg.

Our friends Claire Benjamin DiMattina, Olivia Hoeft, Jane Woodall, Joseph Derouin, and Sarah Dudley from Google visited us at the Portland office today! Maine Trust team members Lisa DeSisto and Judy Meyer were excellent tour guides, showing off the office and printing press, and enjoyed talking to the team about the importance of #localnews and how Google is helping to support our mission.
