Allow me to reintroduce myself✨ Combine digital marketing, project management, and client relations within a people-centric industry such as Talent Acquisition and you get close to the scope of my role😉 As my team kicks off one of the busiest seasons for networking and recruitment - conference season - I wanted to share a bit of background on my role as the Assistant Manager, Strategic Talent Marketing, Global Talent and what it means for me as a content creator, first-gen professional and employer brander to contribute to the creator economy and create access for underrepresented talent like myself. Few fast facts… According to Forbes, 86% of job seekers say they would not consider working for a company with a bad social standing. According to Korn Ferry, 75% of talent acquisition leaders say that employer brand significantly impacts their ability to hire great talent.

*GRATITUDE* Readying my mind for the week ahead by anchoring in gratitude. Reflecting upon the honor it was to be a panelist at Metro New York Chapter National Black MBA Association 3rd annual “The Power of You! Women’s Conference” last Thursday. Sharing and celebrating with other powerhouse panelists Molly Creese, MBA , Petra Hailu and Patrina Battle on our journeys of “Finding and Elevating Your Voice in the Crowd”. The entire conference was truly an awesome experience of sharing, community building, upliftment and inspiration. (Thank you Norville Barrington, Kenneth D. Holley, MS, CSM, PMP and the entire team, speakers and attendees for a spectacular event) I am most appreciative of the gift of my daughter attending with me. She, who has profoundly changed and motivated me, sat in the front row and took it all in as she now embarks on her new chapter - college. The conference’s community of women - their beautiful stories, lessons, resilience, success and unwavering belief in self - further ignited the power within her [and us all]! Excited for the week ahead…. Let’s GO! *Quick nugget from my panel remarks*… Examine your intentions in leveraging your voice - do you wish to be heard or to be LISTENED to? #leadership #thepowerofyou #womensconference #gratitude #executiveleaders #executivecoaching #storyteller #selfleadership

Empowering. Equipping. Elevating. These are words to describe the The Power Of You Women’s Conference hosted by the Metro New York Chapter National Black MBA Association. The wealth in the room from the powerful conversations and networking opportunities was invaluable. I wish I could have attended ALL of the sessions but here are the key highlights from my experience: 💪🏾I decided to stretch myself and attend the AI Takeover session by Andrea Kellman (Bryan), M.Ed. I learned so much and this statement she said really made me think “If we don’t know what we are looking at we will miss it.” ✊🏾The Black Woman Support vs. Black Woman Struggle was my favorite session because of the authenticity and vulnerability with which the panelists spoke. My #1 gems from this session: 👏🏾Recognize people publicly and privately for the work that they do - Darla Pires DeGrace [No Sales Solicitations Please] ✍🏾 Keep a track record of all aspects of your life - Lauren C. Dorvil, MPH 🗣️ Ask people “How may I help you?” - Gena Pemberton 🏆In the closing session, Cat Tucker spoke about not just being comfortable in the uncomfortable but thriving in the uncomfortable. I left this conference full and am glad I made the journey to be there. Special thanks and shout out to Norville Barrington, Vina Morris, PMP, ITIL V4 DPI, MBA, Molly Creese, MBA, and Larissa Longchamp for the warm welcome to the organization and conference. It was such a pleasure being in an environment of empowerment. I’m already ready for the next one!
