🙏 We gladfully took part last week in the Africa Investment Forum in #Marrakesh. This event of importance gathers leaders, investors, and people of interest from all-over Africa to discuss and support tomorrow’s projects that will accelerate African countries’ development and position them at the forefront on the international scene. MFV is clearly part of this vision. Hence we were invited to further explain how we provide economic growth, training services and top-notch infrastructures to local populations. 🔍 Let’s summarize This lies in 2 statements and 3 key points ➡ The film industry and the tourism industries are bound together. Movies are windows to the world and movie making implies the travelling and the host of numerous people. Thus, this goes both ways. ➡ The share of budget of international movie productions spent in the hosting country is little compared to the budget of the production country. For instance, only 15% Gladiator 2’s budget is spent in Marrocco where most of the movie is shot. The rest goes to companies in different countries that provide equipment, services (pre-production, post-production). 💡Our answer 1️⃣ One-Stop-Shop : an ecosystem of ‘à la carte’ services that make it possible the making of a movie from A to Z in the hosting countries. This goes from studios with the latest technologies, movie-set and accessory workshops, hosting and hotels, hospitals, qualified staff with all the skills of the film industry… 2️⃣ Tourism : Supported by a top-of-the-range offering with a dual purpose to offer tourists themed accommodation, “Le monde du cinema” and to provide professionals accommodation. 3️⃣ Societal, ecological and economic advance : each villagede deployed are designed to benefit the region and be accessible to its inhabitants : roads, academy, health, sport centre, museum…
About us
Cinema is a universal art that touches and federates like no other. A true ambassador of the beauties and riches of the world, it is also a formidable driver of economic and social development. However, film production continues to become more complex with ever-increasing time, cost and quality constraints. We believe that each country is able to meet this demand when they deploy the right infrastructure. We build villages that offer an ecosystem of cinematographic and tourism services à la carte that facilitates the production of films while helping the development of each country. The Mota Film Villages offer a new model of film studio that reconciles technology, know-how and infrastructure.

This recognition underscores Morocco’s commitment to hospitality, reinforcing its appeal and brand positioning in the UK market as a leading tourism destination. At WTM 2024, running from 5th to 7th November, MNTO is showcasing Morocco with an expansive 800 m² pavilion, a VIP networking area and dedicated spaces for Marrakech and Agadir. 🗓 Day 3 of the Africa Investment Forum in #Marrakech. This event was an enlightening moment that clearly showed the great potential and challenges to be overcome in the coming years for Africa to give birth to bankable and sustainable projects in all fields: health, industry, energy (sustainable included), minerals, resources... We're delighted to be involved in a project of this magnitude, and to help make Africa a better, more attractive place.
🗣 "Our active portfolio of regional integration projects stands at more than 13.5 billion dollars." - Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President, African Development Bank Group, in his opening remarks at the panel "Regional Corridors: Africa's Quest for Integration", during which a deep-dive discussion on the regional corridors took place by the end of the 2nd day of the AIF, with the participation of high-level policymakers across the continent. In his speech, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina pointed out 5 priorities to be taken into account to fully optimize the benefits of regional corridor development across Africa: • Dedicate pool resources to support the preparation and development of corridor projects, • Develop special industrial zone • Platform to identify and syndicate regional corridors • Develop one-stop border posts to complement corridor • Deploy concessional finance. #AfricaInvestmentForum #AIF2023 #Morocco
