Congratulations to Dr. Jennifer Hintzsche, PhD, for being awarded by TIME magazine with a 2024 Invention of the Year recognition. Started in 2022, PherDal Fertility Science, Inc. initially launched 200 proof-of-concept kits that sold out in 90 days, resulting in 34 pregnancies. A successful crowdfunding equity campaign secured over $630K for FDA clearance testing and further validated the startup's impressive growth potential. In December 2023, PherDal made history as the only sterile at-home fertility kit to be awarded clearance by the FDA and is now available direct-to-consumers for $199 at https://hubs.ly/Q02WFB6Q0.   Dr. Hintzsche has been featured in national news outlets like Forbes, Fox News, Rescripted, Motherly, and Business Insider sharing her personal infertility story and scientific expertise. Congratulations to mHUB Alumni, Todd Cruikshank, Co-founder of Surgical Innovation Associates (SIA), on being included among 2024 Dealmaker of The Year Honorees. SIA joined mHUB in 2018 when they were pioneering and developing DuraSorb - a novel, implantable, polymeric surgical device to address the limitations of existing soft tissue support products in plastic and reconstructive surgery. In August 2024, nine entrepreneurs kicked off their six-month journey in the 2024 mPOWER Black Founders program, which is designed to support startups building physical products that impact the Black community. By providing access to mHUB’s ecosystem and a structured hands-on program, founders are given the tools and access to take their products through proof-of-concept. During their six months at mHUB, these founders will build community, work through customer discovery and market validation, define their value proposition and product design concept, assess the viability of their business, and so much more. mPOWER programming is supplemental to mHUB's shared workspace membership, combining group learning and targeted resources to build on mHUB's existing world-class resources.
