Since there's no outdoor equipment, and the heat pump has nothing that ignites - there's really very little to maintain. Most systems simply just need their filter changed. #renewableenergy #geothermalforall
About us
Geothermal Systems are becoming a critical component in the effort to make buildings more environmentally friendly. As more and more projects strive to attain LEED certification, energy efficiency becomes more and more important. One of the biggest energy users in a building can be the heating and cooling system. Well-designed Geothermal Systems can represent a huge energy cost savings and can earn many LEED points for a project. LEED Energy and Atmosphere Credit 1, Optimize Energy Performance, is worth 1 to 10 points for 10.5% to 42% energy cost savings. Our on-staff LEED Accredited Professional helps us to design the most energy efficient Geothermal Systems to maximize energy cost savings.

We are so grateful to have been a part of this project! Congratulations to everyone involved - and let’s go geo! #geothermalforall
🎉 Congratulations to the University of Michigan's Hayward Geothermal Facility for winning the coveted Project Achievement Award from the Construction Association of Michigan! 🏆 We brought our 25+ years of experience in #geothermal engineering and consultation to this groundbreaking project. The facility houses the advanced ground heat exchanger equipment, which is connected to 99 bores that reach 700 feet into the ground to provide geothermal heating and cooling to the new 163,000SF Leinweber Computer Science & Information Building. The Leinweber Building is set to be the first large-scale university facility to eliminate natural gas heating and marks the first of several geothermal systems across campus helping UM achieve its ambitious #sustainability goals. Congrats to our team members who joined us in helping create a more #energy-efficient campus and future for UM: Construction Manager: Walbridge Architect: SmithGroup Geothermal Contractor: Midwest Geothermal Geothermal Installer: Boone & Darr, Inc. 👉 Read more about this innovative project in CAM Magazine’s special issue: https://loom.ly/NrE0ojs

How this system works, how any heat pump works - is the magic of the refrigeration cycle. If you have a moment, look at YouTube and Google the refrigeration cycle. Or click here - https://ow.ly/oRQp50RcNcV

Although we call it geothermal, it is a technology that has many names. But they all mean one thing - the smartest way to heat and cool is right beneath your feet. #geothermalforall #renewableenergy

Let's go through some basics - what is geothermal? When we talk heating or cooling - what we're really talking about is how we move heat into a building, and out of a building. And geo is the most efficient way to move heat! #geothermalforall
