The MPSC is releasing a white paper detailing challenges in establishing a domestic graphite processing capability for lithium batteries, formed through consultations with industry leaders. It outlines hurdles in securing a stable graphite supply chain and provides recommendations. Stakeholders must be aware of these issues due to graphite's importance in battery manufacturing. The paper should be forwarded to government decision-makers for collective action. Emphasizing the supply chain's impact on stakeholders and fostering consensus among decision-makers is crucial for addressing these challenges effectively.
