As part of our European dialogues expansion into Paris, we hosted our first roundtable in French, in partnership with Tikehau Capital. The conversation analyzed the impact of recent geopolitical events and included renowned speakers Thomas Gomart, Director of l'IFRI, Natacha Valla, Economist and Dean of the School of Management and Impact at Sciences Po in Paris, and Admiral Arnaud C., an expert in Cyber Security and Defence. It was moderated by Francois Lavaste, Executive Director within Tikehau Capital’s Private Equity Cybersecurity Strategy. As the boundaries between geopolitics and markets continue to blur, we explored how investors can better anticipate external shocks and security threats that challenge traditional frameworks. Our expert panel examined the implications of the Russia-Ukraine war and global political instability while also addressing the geopolitics of cybersecurity, the evolution of national governance, and future defense strategies. A big thank you to all our speakers and participants for an engaging and productive morning. Petra Freddi, Anna Strillacci #MIGlobal #France #geopolitics #Europe #economy

Milken Institute Health has been working with employers to accelerate solutions to the concurrent addiction and mental health crises since 2017. We are pleased to see a growing movement among employers that holistically recognizes employees beyond their professional roles. This reflects what Milken Institute Health has advocated for from the start: equal prioritization of mental, financial, and physical health through a "whole-person" approach. This series features brief and meaningful insights captured through interviews with executives from a variety of industries and sectors. We hope this series will spark ideas and inspire more leaders to take steps toward implementing #wholepersonhealth for their workforces. While philanthropic collaborations alone will not solve the world’s problems, they can set the stage for more sustainable, systemic change. More intentional, informed, and coordinated giving can strengthen commitment to charitable endeavors and increase effectiveness by prompting sustained, transformative progress within the supported causes. Collaboration in philanthropy can take many shapes. Formal philanthropic collaboratives empower fellow donors to share learnings, strategize on social impact efforts, and pool their financial resources to benefit a charitable cause. Engaging with peers can support thoughtful decision-making through greater exposure to diverse views and opinions. It can also enable access to reliable information, reduce risk, and connect donors to a network of like-minded philanthropists and experts in issue areas of interest.
