You help people like Tyler*, who came to us over the summer — homeless, #addicted to alcohol, and contemplating suicide after blacking out one night and causing an accident. He even bought the razorblades for it, Tyler says — but something told him not to go through with it. By God's grace, Tyler made his way to MRM and joined our men’s recovery program. About us
In Milwaukee, when men or mothers with children need a hot meal, a warm, safe bed, or a place to put their lives back together, they come to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission. We are here to provide care and support to people who are in need. Our departments that deliver comprehensive programs include: • Safe Harbor, our refuge for homeless, hurting men. • Joy House, our place of safety and support for homeless mothers with children, as well as women unaccompanied by children. • Cross Trainers Academy, our K-12th grade Christian school for at-risk children in the city of Milwaukee. • Equip, our community resource program providing food, life-skills classes, practical resources and other support to those in the Lindsay Heights neighborhood and beyond. Our mission statement: Sharing God’s love by caring for those who are poor in body, mind and spirit, to see lives transformed through Christ to hope, joy and lasting productivity.
