About us
Minding Your Mind is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization with a mission of reducing stigma and destructive behaviors associated with mental health issues while promoting help-seeking behavior in youth through education. Minding Your Mind offers an evidence-based, contact strategy through in-school and community-wide mental health education programs aimed at middle school, high school, and college-age students. Through our professionally-crafted presentations, students hear stories of hope and recovery from young adult speakers who successfully and productively cope with their mental health issues. Our educational programs move away from crisis-based response to prevention through education. Programs create a safe space for communication and aim to normalize the conversation around mental health.

Minding Your Mind reposted this
In September, during Suicide Prevention Month, the Paul Michael Donahue Memorial Foundation held the 2nd Annual Wings of Life 5K/1 Mile Walk and Community Event in Mullica Hill. We are still finding the words to thank the over 700 participants who joined us from across the tri-state area for a day of remembrance, hope, and healing. This effort started in 2023 with community members coming together desiring to make a difference for our community. This year, the Paul Michael Donahue Memorial Foundation bolstered that commitment with a $20,000 donation to Clearview Regional High School’s mental health initiatives. Thank you to Mayor Louis Manzo, CFP for kicking off the day with a message of hope, reminding all that “you matter and this world needs you.” Thank you Deputy Mayor Lawrence Moore for your commitment and the time you put into the success of this day. Thank you to Minding Your Mind speaker Collin Quinn for sharing your story of perseverance navigating your mental health in high school and college. And a special thank you to all the volunteers who donated endless hours of their time to be part of our mission. There is still so much to do in this work and so many people hurting, but we hope days like this day in September continue to chip away at the stigma surrounding mental health. My brother Paulie’s message was with me for the entirety of the day, to: “run for others” 🎗️💜

Kristen received this note after sharing her personal journey with high school students this week. It’s a powerful reminder that while our experiences may differ, our emotions are universal. This is why sharing our stories matters. Through our Young Adult Speaker Program, we create space for connection and healing. Every story told offers someone the chance to feel seen and understood. It’s not about the same story—it’s about the same feelings that unite us. 💙 #MentalHealthMatters #ShareYourStory #YouAreNotAlone #BreakTheStigma #EndTheStigma #MentalHealthAwareness #ItsOkayToNotBeOkay #HealingTogether #RealConversations #VulnerabilityIsStrength #MindingYourMind #MentalHealthSupport #MentalWellness

#SpiritDay is the world’s most visible anti-bullying movement. LGBTQ+ youth experience #mentalhealth challenges, suicide ideation, and suicide attempts at higher rates than their peers who identify as heterosexual and cisgender. This is not because of their sexual orientation or gender expression, but due to responses of those within their community and beyond. Spirit Day is a time to stand up and join the millions of voices supporting LGBTQ+ youth to thrive and be represented in the world. 💜

The 2024 theme for #WorldMentalHealthDay is "It's Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace." Be inspired to think about your workplace and ask if you are doing all you can to prioritize the environment to be supportive and open to conversations around mental health. We can help. Mindsets: Your Well-being at Work is Minding Your Mind's mental health education program developed specifically for the workplace. In this presentation, organizations will learn how to assess workplace culture, be given strategies to end stigma around mental health in the workplace, and provided tools to build a compassionate and high-trust organization. Contact Mollye Readinger-Scott, MS,ACC for more information. #mentalhealth #mentalwellbeing #workplaceculture
