Green Equity: A Cannabis Leadership Forum, October 22nd, 2024 - Saint Paul, MN
The Minority Cannabis Business Association, along with a coalition of Minnesota leaders and several of our partners from the Tour, have decided to launch the inaugural Green Equity: A Cannabis Leadership Forum
We believe Minnesota has the ingredients for an equitable industry that fosters diverse participation and the success of small businesses. Our intention is to facilitate leadership development and cohesiveness, among Minnesotan leaders newer to the regulated industry as well as national leaders who have been pushing for equity for years.
Location: Pot Shotz - St Paul Minnesota, Tuesday, October 22nd - All Day
This is a crucial time in Minnesota’s Adult Use rollout to foster synergy and cohesiveness in both the Minnesota market itself, and its connectivity to national networks.
WHO IS INVITED
Local leaders in cannabis and/or hemp: operators, brands, professional services, ancillaries, and advocacy.
Leaders from our national network who have been championing equity in other state markets and at the national level for years.
Community leaders dedicated to equity and community development. We encourage leaders of organizations not yet involved in cannabis to attend to create greater synergy in our efforts for equity both inside and outside the industry itself.
The community at large is also invited to join us, particularly innovators who believe in the opportunity that cannabis presents to achieve greater equity.
The event is being organized by Mike Lomuto MCBA’s Board Chair and Founder of the Equity Workshop Tour, in collaboration with several local and national leaders.
THE PROGRAM
Primarily consists of facilitated roundtable conversations and group discussions – similar to the Equity Workshop Tour, with even greater emphasis and time dedicated towards the group discussions, during which we’ll harvest the gold from the more intimate roundtables.
A major focus is to establish common, foundational language and vision, with an emphasis on collaboration between leadership and the communities and interests represented.
A portion of discussion will center on how to collaboratively and effectively stand up the type of mentorship program being discussed in many circles, including a deeper dive into what resources already exist that can be plugged into it, as well as potentially fund or support it.
