About us
Mirci (Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc.) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides comprehensive support services, including behavioral healthcare, stable housing, disability assistance, and more, to individuals experiencing mental illness and housing instability in the greater Columbia community. MIRCI hosts the only CARF accredited Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program in South Carolina, providing evidence-based, person-centered behavioral healthcare to those not successfully served by traditional outpatient treatment.

Big numbers, real impact. 📈🚀 In July, we received data from the SC Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office, highlighting our impact on the greater Columbia community in 2023. We’re proud to have significantly reduced emergency department visits and inpatient hospitalizations while delivering tens of thousands of behavioral healthcare services and securing stable housing for those in greatest need.
