About us

The Mississippi Department of Mental Health (DMH) administers and operates state behavioral health programs and regional programs for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The behavioral health programs provide inpatient services for adults and children with serious mental illness and substance use disorders, and the programs for persons with IDD provide residential services and licensed homes for community living. A variety of community services and supports is also available through DMH operated programs and DMH certified providers, depending on the program/provider and location. Call 1-877-210-8513 if you or a loved one needs mental health, substance use, or intellectual/developmental disability services.
