On Saturday A Sista’s Touch and DOPEONLY hosted our 6th Annual 5k, We Run Oakland: For Our Children to raise human trafficking awareness, and it was AMAZING!!! We set our goal to connect community members with local community-based partners who serve on the frontlines of this healthcare crisis to share information on civic engagement to #StopHumanTrafficking. We are thankful to our community-based partners: Alameda County Sheriff's Office, BAWAR, CRISIS SUPPORT SERVICES OF ALAMEDA COUNTY, Dream Youth Clinic, MISSSEY, SHADE Movement, Ruby's Place, and Samuel Merritt University (EHI). We are grateful for our sponsors: Stanford Health Care, Bmo Bank of Montreal, UPS, Alameda County Sheriff's Office, Soroptimist International of Oakland, FLW Living Well Services, Knights of St. Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary Court, California Association for Nurse Practitioners (Alameda/Contra Costa, and Kellogg’s.
