The great Jerry Rice came to the BILL board meeting and gave me this football. We talked about winning, risk taking and why it’s important to get back up when you’ve been knocked down.

TL;DR: I have a new role as CEO at auticon US!
The convergence of opportunity & interest has manifested itself in a huge way for me. I love helping tech founders grow their businesses, like I’ve done several times now. I also love organizations that positively impact individuals and society as a whole. That’s why I’ve been involved in multiple nonprofits, civic & religious groups, industry coalitions, etc.
In 2019 I met Kurt Schöffer from auticon, thanks to kind introductions from ⚡Joel McKay Smith & Eric Olafson. I was impressed and have had multiple intersections since, including when the Utah STEM Action Center moved to the Columbus Community Center. I also connected with David Aspinall soon after, and I'm grateful to have followed his journey. Of particular note has been my on-going association with Eric. He has become a true friend & mentor. I admire the intentional way he & Jaye Olafson live. Their stories of “little Eric,” who is autistic, resonated strongly with me. “Big Eric” is the cornerstone in the convergence that brings me to this new role at auticon, for which I’m very grateful.
I am so excited to be leveraging my talents in a way that allows me to spend more time on areas of personal interest. auticon is the largest autistic-majority company in the world. Not only does auticon employ brilliant, capable autistic professionals, auticon educates & supports the organizations where they are engaged as full stack application developers, data analysts, quality assurance testing & automation engineers, business intelligence analysts, robotic process automation developers, software & data engineers, and more. We want neurodiverse, neuroinclusive work cultures that will improve outcomes for everyone, including those whose neurodiversity may be hidden or less obvious.
There are more than 5.4 million autistic adults in the US, according to the CDC. In addition, an estimated 15-20% of the population is neurodivergent—an umbrella term for neurological differences including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia. These statistics speak to the prevalence of neurodivergent employees in US workplaces and the importance of implementing neuroinclusive practices.
I am honored & excited to be part of this company, part of this mission. Stay tuned for more!

Two quotes we particularly enjoyed:
“Within just minutes of training the arm, I was able to perform several movements.” — Paul Carter of BBC
“It just feels like I’m moving my regular hand!” — Jason

Reset launches today! 🎉
Our team at Reset is very excited to share some big news. After raising a $2.3M pre-seed in 2023 and building in stealth, we announced the launch of Reset earlier this week from NYC. The Reset card saw its debut in Times Square on the NASDAQ billboard. Thanks to Ryan Lawler at Axios for the great article covering Reset’s fundraise and launch (linked in comments)!
When trying to make ends meet, too many individuals in the U.S. are met with late fees on mistimed bills, overdraft fees when balances dip negative, and high-interest payday loans – all simply in an attempt to bridge the gap between paychecks. We knew there had to be a better way – so we built it!
For the 60% of Americans living paycheck-to-paycheck, the Reset card combines daily access to earned income with streamlined budgeting and financial planning.
With the Reset card and Financial Companion app, you can:
🙌 Access your income daily as you earn it – including from payroll, gig, and government benefit streams – with no interest, monthly, or late fees
🙅♂️ Avoid predatory financial services that trap you in cycles of debt
🧠 Get real-time insight into your income, spending, and upcoming bills
💳 Use the Reset card anywhere Visa cards are accepted in the U.S.
🏦 Keep using your existing bank account
Here are some of the great investors supporting us on our mission: Precursor Ventures (Charles Hudson), Moai Capital (Brian Jacobs), J4.Ventures (Bruce Jaffe), Endurance Companies (N.
