Magnificent 7 stock Tesla reported first quarter earnings today. The company reported lighter revenue than expected and a miss on their top and bottom lines, noting 2024 deliveries would be notably lower in comparison to 2023. $TSLA’s stock price is down more than 40% this year as the company faces increased EV competition across the globe. “Let’s be honest, this was a terrible quarter. Right now, Tesla needs to focus, and they need to get dates for bringing that new $25,000 dollar car to market. If they do that, there’s a lot of silver lining out there for them,” The Westly Group Founder and former Tesla board member Steve Westly said. “I can’t think of anything more earth-shattering than a car that drives itself. And I think that’s exactly what people should be focused on… we think that two-thirds of the enterprise value in that year [2027] could be attributable to the robotaxi network. To ignore this is crazy in my mind, ” ARK Investment Management LLC Director of Investment Analysis & Institutional Strategies Tasha Keeney, CFA added.
