The Secret is Out. The extended-stay hotel market is low in supply and high in demand. In late 2021, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts selected MODUSarchitecture to design the envisioned ECHO Suites prototype. With nearly 270 ECHO Suites contracts signed by WHR, this hotel prototype will change the landscape of the extended-stay market and become a recognizable brand throughout the United States. Our design approach for the Echo Suites Prototype had a clear North Star: performance and experience. We took a deep dive into comparative analysis to understand the DNA of extended-stay hotels and what makes this market work. Next, we challenged the conventional approach of what an extended-stay experience could look like and feel like… we pushed the limits, then we scaled back to a solution that was feasible, functional, and experiential. This ECHO Suites effort has been more than three years in the making and we are proud to see the construction of many hotels across the US.
