😳 A tenant lit a phone book on fire and slid it through the mail slot. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the office was gone. We were already planning a remodel, so we regrouped, made a plan, and executed it. Evictions are a challenge, and they often leave a mess behind—literally. While good tenants clean up and take care of the space when they move out, evicted tenants tend to leave behind old furniture, trash, and more. This is what we call a "trash out." When this happens, it can overwhelm our maintenance team, slowing down their ability to address other work orders. That's why it's often best to contract out heavy trash-outs to keep the process moving efficiently and free up time for other important tasks.
