    A final thank you to all of our attendees, speakers, and partners who joined us in London last week for a truly unforgettable #MonetateElevate24! 👏 The energy at the Barbican was electric as our speakers Rachel Willers, Rasmus Houlind, Bhavik Patel, Rob S., Adam Shenton, Hannah Press, Britt Mansveld, Ed Hill, Sarah Lambert Oetiker, and Elinor Pierce shared exclusive insights on the state of personalization with our 150+ attendees. 🔍 We were also extremely fortunate to be joined by our partners at Contentsquare, LeanConvert, Quantum Metric, Amplience, and Bazaarvoice, who provided firsthand demonstrations of the tools today's ecommerce professionals can use to boost their brand's growth & visibility. ⚡ And lastly, thank you to our on-site Monetaters for making it all possible. We so enjoyed meeting everyone! 🤝 It's hard to imagine any event topping Elevate 2024—until #MonetateElevate25, of course! See you all next year! 📅

    Keynote Speaker and Author within Personalization and Omnichannel Marketing, CXO at Agillic, Board Member and Angel Investor

    Ok so I may be considered an expert within #personalization… But I’m also just a beginner. This field just continues to amaze me with its depth and complexity. So, I always try to stay curious and learn from the people I meet. Yesterday, when I spoke at / took part in Monetate’s yearly event, Elevate, in London, it was no exception to this... The brain-power at the event was immense and I learned from super exciting brands like Waitrose & Partners, Dr. Martens plc, Nespresso UK, Lovehoney Group, Pandora (just to name a few) about how website personalization can work and how it is deeply connected to the CRO discipline. It’s a strength with such a strong focus on the website - but it also has the danger of becoming a bit myopic - which is why I was brought on as a speaker I guess. To broaden the perspective on personalization whilst also boiling it down to what it really is about and how marketers can and should work to optimize profitability. A few take-aways I added to my constantly growing collection of anecdotes: 🥾 Britt Mansveld from Dr. Martens plc taught the audience how their CRO and Personalization team did a yearly round-up of all the experiments (including personalization experiments) they’d done in a year. What did each experiment conclude? How much revenue did it / will it move? How much money does that amount to? An exercise that is quite close to what we suggest in ‘Hello $Firstname’ - namely the Governance Principle that we call ‘Personalization accountability’. Without it you run the risk of someone from IT coming to decommission your software (and potentially your team) because they don’t share the same passion for personalization. 🍑 Rob S. from the sex-toy brand Lovehoney Group taught the audience how personalization is really put on its edge when you’re dealing with an intimate product assortment like theirs. One inappropriate product recommendation can easily put customers off and ruin the whole experience. And you might also want to think twice about doing explicit personalization based on previous visits - what if suddenly the partner of the customer is watching over the shoulder and it’s clear there’s been a lot of browsing of hardcore products? (There’s a product called ‘3-bangs for your butt’ - just saying… I suggest you don’t google it at work) 🔍 Last but not least I’ll mention how I (and I guess the whole audience) got an updated understanding of how far #PersonalizedSearch and #ProductDiscovery has come. Natural language processing and LLMs have taken capabilities within this field very very far - and we’re still just in the beginning. Super great insights Eric Rosado and Austin Rochford! All in all a very well executed event! Again, thanks for hosting and inviting me as a speaker! Indeed there is a good tech match for a potential partnership with MAPs such as Agillic!
