    According to Bhavik Patel of LeanConvert, when it comes to experimentation, it's not enough to simply play catch up with the competition. A lasting experimentation strategy relies on being data-driven to determine your "why". "My crystal ball view on that is when that's the mentality – 'We need to catch up with our [competitors]' – it's destined to fail. If the only reason you start doing A/B testing is because you know that Netflix is doing it or Facebook are doing it, or whoever's doing it. And you know your competitor is doing it, it's not gonna stand the test of time."
