Patrick Ta and Patrick Ta Beauty made their NYFW debut this past Saturday when they partnered with renowned fashion house, MONSE to celebrate their Spring/Summer25 collection. “Now felt like the perfect moment to debut at NYFW because Patrick Ta Beauty has grown tremendously over the last few years, most notably this year with our first-ever brand campaign and launch of our liquid foundation,” “Collaborating with the Monse team, pushing boundaries, and creating something that truly complements the collection has been an inspiring experience,” Ta says. “There’s something magical about seeing your vision unfold on the runway—it’s always been a dream of mine and I’m so honored to call it reality now.” A heartfelt thank you to our incredible team and esteemed partners for making this moment possible. https://lnkd.in/dXuRZqcu

#NewYork #FashionWeek the new talented generation MONSE the key to the collection was the meeting of artful deconstruction and fine tailoring, seen in a great series of blazers, cinched mess jackets and cutaway frock coats and fracks. KHAITE (my personal favourite one from seasons) For the past several seasons, Khaite, the brainchild of designer Catherine Holstein, has been the most inventive show in New York. Apparently not this season for the critics. Jonathan Simkhai This season, Jonathan Simkhai found his initial inspiration from a silk petal that fell from a family album. It was once attached to the dress his mother wore on her wedding day in 1972. It was a subtle stimulus and it led to a charming collection made principally in cream, white and ecru, with dashes of orange and black. Sergio Hudson A very glam collection albeit a rather reined-in one -  starring crisp pants suits in brown and black chalk-stripes or canary yellow wool; sequined tanks worn over twill mannish pants; and va va vroom pastel sequined columns.

First Lady, Michelle Obama wearing MONSE speaking at yesterday’s Democratic National Convention. Monse is an NYC-based brand founded by Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, who are also the co-creative directors of Oscar de la Renta. Korean-born Kim is outspoken on Asian representation in fashion and Garcia grew up traveling the Dominican Republic and Spain. A true American melting pot. Fashion is political and Obama and her stylist-who I love-Meredith Koop are quietly strategic in their outfit choices. Wearing a younger, diverse American brand (Monse was founded in 2015) shows the modern style evolution of the First Lady that parallels the changing face of American politics. Finally, as she often does, Obama wearing her hair in braids is a nod to Black women, and the beauty and freedom of wearing our hair in its multificated ways. 🤎
