In order to build a strong foundation, you need good roots. For Morris Bank, our roots started in 1954 in a single bank branch and have dug deep to help strengthen the relationships we foster with our customers and each of the communities we’re fortunate to be a part of now. Our roots are still the same even 70 years later—they just grow with us as we get stronger!

The Humane Society of Statesboro and Bulloch County recently received $6,000 from the Morris Bank Community Foundation to purchase new animal traps and a storage shed to stock them in for continued use. This allows the team to sustain their trap-neuter-release (TNR) program that serves our community and the animals that are a part of it. We appreciate all you do!

Morris Bank donated $200,000 to Georgia Hospitals! As a participant in the Georgia HEART Hospital Program, Morris Bank recently donated $200,000 to local hospitals in middle Georgia, including Dodge County Hospital, Candler County Hospital, and Effingham Health System. The program designates rural and critical access hospitals in Georgia to help increase funding and provide quality healthcare to thousands of patients state-wide. “Four years ago, Morris Bank began our participation in the Georgia HEART Hospital Program to help support the healthcare needs of our communities and our surrounding counties. Within those four years, we’ve been able to contribute $950,000 to the impact that these healthcare providers have on patient care, economic development, and quality of life in our communities,” says Spence Mullis, Chairman and CEO of Morris Bank. “We’re celebrating our 70th Anniversary as a bank this year, and while we’re proud of a number of accomplishments we’ve made within that time, we’re most proud of the investments we’ve made in our communities, like these.” For the full story, visit www.morris.bank/mbuzz
