Mines Seleine Mine Rescue Team: A Source of Unmatched Pride We are thrilled to congratulate the Mines Seleine team for participating in the annual mine rescue competition in Val-d'Or this past weekend. Over two days, nine of our brave rescuers competed against several teams from different mines across Quebec. This prestigious event, organized by the Mine Rescue Service of the CNESST in collaboration with the Quebec Mining Association (AMQ), was in its 60th edition. This year, our team consisted of: - Jean-François Cormier - Michel Nadeau - Kaven Langlois-Langford - Guillaume Leblanc - Tommy Poirier - Olivier Poirier - Philippe Pereira-Bourque - Daniel Vigneault - Thomas Bourque Congratulations on the Victory! We are immensely pleased to congratulate the Mines Seleine mine rescue team for winning the trophy for the best mission team at the provincial competition this weekend. We are extremely proud of our rescuers who ensure the safety of all our underground employees every day. Congratulations to all! The Commitment and Courage of the Rescuers The Mines Seleine rescue team is composed of 18 volunteer employees who regularly train to respond to emergencies in the mine. They are trained in oxygen interventions in contaminated atmospheres, first aid, and other techniques taught by CNESST trainers. This role requires a lot of rigor, courage, and tenacity. Without the rescue team, it would be impossible to work safely in the mine. Once again, congratulations to our exceptional team and thank you for your unwavering dedication to the safety of all our employees. You make Mines Seleine proud!

Visit of Quebec Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry, Ms. Maïté Vézina Blanchette, to Mines Seleine On May 3, our Mines Seleine facility had the pleasure of hosting a visit and tour for Ms. Maïté Blanchette Vézina, Minister of Quebec Natural Resources and Forestry for the Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine regions. Jean-Baptiste Dromer (Senior Director, Eastern Canada Operations), Patrick Gagnier (Vice-President, Sales), and Michel Plasse (General Manager, Mines Seleine) presented an overview of Mines Seleine as well as Windsor Salt's de-icing salt in Quebec prior to descending underground with the Minister for a mine tour. The Minister met several employees during her visit, led by Gabriel Filiatrault (Mine Captain). Her feedback on the mine was very positive, and the Mines Seleine team conveyed key messages regarding the importance of the mine not only for the economy of the Îles-de-la-Madeleine but also for road safety in Quebec. The team also had the opportunity to reiterate our commitment to health and safety, the environment, and integration into island communities. The Minister recounted the visit on social media, describing it as an incredible experience and thanking the team for the exceptional welcome. Thank you to everyone involved for a very successful visit! 🎉 Celebrating Quebec Mining Week! 🎉 At our Mines Seleine salt plant on the Magdalen Islands, we're proud to prioritize safety and efficiency through our innovative work map. Developed in partnership with the Quebec Mining Association, this tool fosters seamless communication and coordination across all levels of our operations. Our work map is built on four core pillars: •Inspection •Planning •Decision-making •Execution These pillars ensure safe operations, setting the foundation for excellence in our team. Today, we want to shine a spotlight on two exceptional individuals: miner Cilvin Fortin and supervisor Sébastien Deveau. Today, we celebrate Earth Day by giving back to our local communities. For over a decade, our dedicated team at the Pugwash salt mine has committed to Earth Day by volunteering along Crowley Road in Nova Scotia. Year after year, we unite to clean up a 1.5-mile (2.5-kilometer) stretch, lending a hand to preserve our environment. Proud to make a difference, one step at a time. #EarthDay🌎

In honor of Women's History Month, we pay homage to Carolina Asenjo. In February, she was appointed as Captain of the SPL Atacama, becoming the first woman to hold the position since Empremar S.A, a strategic shipping partner of salt, was founded in 1953. Congratulations to Carolina Asenjo. Here's to breaking barriers, chasing dreams, and creating a brighter future together! #WomenInSalt 💙
