About us

Mosaic Life Care is health care, re-imagined. We are dedicated to not only treating you when you are sick, but also to keeping you healthy. That’s life care. At Mosaic Life Care, we are committed to providing the best and safest care, while creating a warm, inviting environment for our patients, family members and caregivers. We’ve developed an innovative life-care model that includes traditional health care, as well as a focus on other aspects of our patients’ lifestyles that affect their overall wellness. Mosaic Life Care, a recipient of the 2009 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and named one of the nation’s top performers on key quality measures by The Joint Commission in 2010, is the next generation of health care. As a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, our physicians have the opportunity to seek Mayo Clinic expertise through eConsults. By working together, we hope to build new and innovative ways to provide the best possible care. Mayo Clinic and Mosaic Life Care share a common philosophy, commitment and mission to improve the delivery of care.

This week, Mosaic received a special donation of hand decorated onesies for premature babies in our NICU. Our local Tri Sigma sorority at Missouri Western State University supports the March of Dimes as one of their philanthropic efforts, and as part of that, they chose Mosaic to make this thoughtful donation. Thank you to the Tri Sigma chapter at Missouri Western for this kind act for our youngest patients!

Congratulations to our recent #DAISYAward recipient, Bailey Yost, RN, from the Intensive Care Unit at Mosaic Life Care at St. Joseph, Medical Center. The DAISY Award® For Extraordinary Nurses is part of the DAISY Foundation's programs to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day. In St. Joseph, it is awarded monthly. Bailey was recognized by fellow caregiver Kendy Dafford, a patient care technician at Mosaic Life Care at St. Joseph, Women’s Health Plaza 2, for her willingness to help those in need even outside of the hospital’s walls. Her nomination reads: “Bailey was picking up her children from school and saw an accident happen that my son was involved in. She stopped and ran over to be with him and be sure he was ok and safe. Bailey sat down and hugged him and talked to him till others got there to be with him. She was so brave, and I cannot thank her enough for making my son feel as safe as she could in this situation. Bailey did this not only with the background of her care but from the kindness of her heart and being all around an amazing person. I did not know who Bailey was until someone tagged her on Facebook and told us it was her that sat with him. My son had even told us he thought her name was Bailey! We need more amazing people in this world like Bailey.” Please join us in congratulating Bailey for receiving The DAISY Award® For Extraordinary Nurses! To nominate the outstanding nurse in your life, complete the form on the Mosaic website at myMLC.com/daisy.

“I was only 28 years old when I was diagnosed with breast cancer,” says Katie Chamberlain, kindergarten teacher and breast cancer champion. “Women need to know regular self-checks can save your life. If you feel something, say something and trust your instincts.” Katie was able to ring the bell in October 2023 signifying the end of her cancer treatments. Today, we held a Memorial Remembrance Event outside of the Chapel at Mosaic Life Care at St. Joseph – Medical Center. We honored three caregivers Mosaic tragically lost in the last year. We're thankful for our caregivers, and we don't take any of them for granted.
