  • Kicking the season off with a bang - MotoAmerica inks deal with Progressive Insurance® as an official sponsor of the championship. Started in 1937 by Joseph Lewis and Jack Green as the Progressive Mutual Insurance Company, Progressive was the first to feature a drive-in claims location. The company, headquartered in Mayfield Village, Ohio, has since grown to become the second largest personal auto insurer in the country, a leading seller of commercial auto, motorcycle, boat and RV insurance, and one of the top 15 homeowners insurance carriers.   "We are excited to announce a three-year partnership between MotoAmerica and Progressive Insurance,” said MotoAmerica COO Chuck Aksland. “As the industry leader in motorcycle insurance, Progressive brings a ton of experience and enthusiasm to our sport, making this collaboration a natural one for both brands. We look forward to kicking off the 2025 season with Progressive on board and leveraging their involvement to expand our reach to an even broader audience of motorsports enthusiasts.”   “As the country’s leading motorcycle insurer, we share the same passion, enthusiasm and commitment to the sport and the racing community,” said Eric Doubler, Progressive Recreational Lines Business Leader. “We’re excited to collaborate with MotoAmerica to not only sponsor their namesake championship, but to also grow the sport.” #motoamerica #progressive #progressiveinsurance #motorcycles #motorcycleracing

As a testament to its focus on youth racing and developing American riders for the world stage, MotoAmerica announced the 2025 Talent Cup Championship earlier this year. In addition, Parts Unlimited was named as title sponsor for the all-new spec racing class. The Parts Unlimited Talent Cup Championship replaces the current Junior Cup Championship with competition rules and equipment in line with Dorna's Road To MotoGP™ initiative, which establishes a clear pathway for riders to advance all the way to the world-championship level of motorcycle road racing.   Key to this success is the purpose-built, race-only Krämer APX-350 MA that was created as the one and only spec motorcycle for the class. Similar to the Moto2™ World Championship, the Parts Unlimited Talent Cup has already attracted interest from OEM motorcycle companies and world-renowned teams who want to be part of this exciting, new MotoAmerica race class.   The MotoAmerica Parts Unlimited Talent Cup will consist of seven rounds featuring 14 individual races, along with an official preseason test. Of the seven rounds, five take place during MotoAmerica scheduled events and two will appear elsewhere. The season-opening round will be held in conjunction with the 2025 Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, on March 28 to 30. Another will take place during AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on July 25 to 27. MotoAmerica’s 2024 season was another for the record books, especially in terms of competition. In the premier class, Steel Commander Corp. Superbike, seven different riders won races with a total of ten different riders standing on the podium. OEM’s on podiums varied as well, with machines from Ducati, Yamaha, Suzuki and BMW Motorrad all taking spots. Across the series' seven other classes, the variance continued with most championships decided in the final round or two.   Fans enjoyed the diversity and showed it with their loyalty. MotoAmerica has gained 729,000 social media followers 2024, a 23% YOY YTD increase. MotoAmerica's follower base currently stands at 3.8 million across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Threads and X. A MotoAmerica race bike garnered a lot of attention at the SEMA show last week. MotoAmerica official partner, Rockford Fosgate, displayed factory Harley-Davidson's team’s #43 bike in their incredible booth. The team and the bike compete in the Mission Foods King of the Bagger class. In addition, Rockford displayed a "King of the Baggers inspired" stock 2024 Road Glide CVO ST that is available for public purchase. Sponsors of the team and series, Mission Foods and Dunlop Tires, enjoyed the increased exposure as well.   The SEMA show is one of the largest trade shows in the USA, spanning nearly a week and encompassing thousands of exhibitors and approximately 160,000 attendees from around the world. •   MotoAmerica features eight race classes with champions crowned at the end of the season in each one. In the Mission Foods King Of The Baggers Championship, this season delivered a points chase that came right down to the wire between the two leading teams and riders, S&S/Indian Motorcycle’s Troy Herfoss and Harley-Davidson Factory Racing’s Kyle Wyman.   At New Jersey Motorsports Park, the season finale, Herfoss turned a two-point deficit into an 11-point advantage that clinched the 2024 crown. Wyman finished second in the championship, while RevZilla Motul Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson’s Hayden Gillim, the defending 2023 KOTB champion, finished third on the season.   Herfoss, a three-time Australian Superbike Champion who joined MotoAmerica for the first time in 2024, said. "Twelve months ago, I was in this position in Australia and on top of the world, but didn’t know exactly what I wanted from racing moving forward. This incredible opportunity to come and race in King Of The Baggers came up. I wanted to step outside my comfort zone, and that’s exactly what it did. I was uncomfortable from the banks of Daytona, through the world championship crowds at COTA, to the gravel trap at Brainerd, and to this moment winning the championship. It’s been a wild ride and an incredible journey.” MotoAmerica's Mission King of the Baggers class will compete at seven of ten MotoAmerica events in 2025.
