Meet Kaylie Aldous, our Senior Permitting Manager at Mountain Ltd., working out of our Boise, Idaho office. With six years under her belt at Mountain, Kaylie has been instrumental in growing our permitting department, which continues to expand. She started with a small team and now leads a department that permits across the entire U.S.! Kaylie is always hands-on with projects, learning permitting processes first, then training her team to help them grow in their skills. She’s passionate about building strong relationships with municipalities, clients, and engineering and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution. She loves the camaraderie at Mountain Ltd. and credits the support and encouragement from her team as a key to her success. When she’s not managing permits, Kaylie is likely on her next adventure! She loves to travel, hike, camp, attend live music, and spend time on the water. At Mountain Ltd., our Permitting Team plays a vital role in supporting clients across the U.S. by securing necessary permits for utilities and fostering strong relationships with municipalities. Acting as a bridge between engineering and construction, our team ensures that every project complies with local specifications and requirements. We are deeply involved in the entire permitting process, handling everything from researching the correct entities to ensuring engineered prints and traffic control plans meet municipal guidelines. We also maintain ongoing communication with all stakeholders to address any concerns during permit reviews. From tracking and following up on permits, to learning both client and municipal systems, we leave no stone unturned to ensure project success. We are constantly learning, evolving, and mastering new permitting functions as the telecommunications industry continues to grow. Our projects span from Fiber to the Home (FTTH), Fiber to the Business (FTTB), RDOF, GPON, Fiber to the Tower (FTTT) , Overbuilds, and more. We handle permits at all levels—from standard right-of-way permits with the city, county and department of transportation, to railroad, environmental, tribal and federal permits, to easements and pole attachments. The relationships we've built with municipalities are crucial to our clients' success. Our permitting team makes a difference – their efforts ensure that clients can update and expand critical infrastructure.
