Join us for our Autumn Festival! 🎉🍂 We’re excited to bring back our annual tradition with fun for everyone from Wednesday, September 25th to Friday, September 27th! Each event will run in the afternoon from 1-4 PM, filled with laughter, joy, and fall festivities. Here's what's in store: 🍎 Wednesday: Apple Orchard Day – Custom wheelchair-accessible apple picking and apple-themed games! 🌽 Thursday: Farmers Market – Enjoy fresh local produce, crafts, and delicious treats from local vendors. 🐐 Friday: Sprinkles Petting Zoo – Get up close with some friendly farm animals! Let’s hear it for our employee spotlight, Ava!✨💖 “She is always willing to step in and help wherever she is needed, from washing dishes in the kitchen, passing ice on the halls, playing games with the residents and staff, or helping plan for the next event. She is so fast! And she is always so good with the residents.” Here are some fun facts about Ava: Her dedication doesn't stop here—while working part-time with us, she’s also pursuing her Bachelor’s in Social Services and now holds a full-time position as a Social Worker for McDowell County schools. In her spare time, Ava enjoys painting, caring for her plants and cat, and unwinding with a game of pool with friends. Lewis B. is more than just a resident; he's a treasured part of our Mountain Ridge family. From his days as a Senior Olympic medalist to his role as the jolly Santa Claus each year, Lewis spreads joy and warmth wherever he goes. A proud member of Bee Tree Missionary Baptist Church, he shares his love for music during our Wednesday morning Bible studies. Humble and kind, Lewis sums it up best: "I'm just a good old local boy."
