🏞️ New Publication Alert: “Leave No Mountain Behind: The Synthesis Series – Migration, Mobility, and Immobility in the Mountains” 📘 This new brief examines how climate change is increasing #migration in #mountain areas and provides examples of adaptation interventions that can help address these drivers and improve the lives of those who choose to stay. For centuries, people have migrated to avoid disasters and access better resources, especially in mountain areas where seasonal migration mitigates risks and enhances livelihoods. Climate change amplifies migration pressures, disproportionately affecting remote mountain communities. As these challenges intensify, rural areas may face adaptation limits, potentially requiring community relocations. Learn from past efforts, highlighting community-led initiatives for inclusive and effective decision-making and implementation. 🔍 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eETRT7M9 #MountainsMatter #OurChangingMountains SEI — Stockholm Environment Institute Zoï Environment Network weADAPT Learn - Share - Connect
