Here is an odd Business Paradyme; it would not qualify to make a business book. Much of Move Solutions, Ltd. history our marketing philosophy has been to be the largest qualitative office mover that nobody had ever heard of. Perverse. We changed that direction five years ago, becoming far more transparent with what we do, how we do it, who we do it for. We waited until we could actually and confidently provide all services. A friend from the business wars of the last forty years sent me this photo yesterday. Crates awaiting use in a weekend move this weekend. His accompanying email spoke to the four times he has moved in his career, through two different employers, and how the "red crates" have been the staple of that movement. He spoke to walking by this stack, stopping and wondering if any of them had moved him before. That thought led to his stepping back, sitting down, thinking of the life of a crate in its ceaseless travels, its unending destinations pauses of "the moment". Few people remember that #movesolutions first brought crates to the SW United States many years ago. Our CEO, coming home from New York, saw a 1x1 ad in the back of the AA Inflight Magazine, landed, went straight to an airport pay phone, and ordered $1,000,000 worth of crates. Doing so started an era for the SW U.S. office relocation industry. More importantly, knowing that landfills are 62% filled with cardboard, Move Solutions, and the Total Office Solutions, LLP companies immediately stopped putting 25,000 cardboard boxes A MONTH in the DFW landfills. Add the industry that followed our actions and think of the unexpected consequence of that small ad in the back of a magazine.
