We ❤️ farmers, especially our Kipster Manager, Shania Ray! She and her team work diligently at the farm to produce sustainable, carbon-neutral eggs. Thank you, Shania!

October is all about food! With World Animal Day (Oct 4), World Egg Day (Oct 11), National Farmers Day (Oct 12), and World Food Day (Oct 16), it's the perfect time to reflect on the incredible work that goes into feeding this country. Did you know that just 2% of the U.S. population are farmers? Along with their farm workers, they provide the food that fills your grocery basket. Yet, farming comes with immense challenges—from fluctuating market prices to unpredictable weather, and now more than ever, the impacts of climate change. Let's take a moment to appreciate the farmers, the farmed animals, the workers, and everyone along the supply chain who make it possible to nourish us every day. And remember, one of the best ways to show gratitude is by reducing food waste. Cheers to all my fellow farmers—thank you for your hard work! #WorldFoodDay #NationalFarmersDay #WorldEggDay #Sustainability #Farmers #ReduceFoodWaste

We supply America! Our story will be told as a distributor through the hardworking people who bring one of nature's most perfect foods to your table. We had the privilege of meeting Dirk Beveridge, the visionary and creator of this series, Will Quinn, one of the show's sponsors at Infor, and the award-winning media production team at Digifé. Day 107 of We Supply America, and as the sun rises, the We Supply America RV finds itself parked on the grounds of the only carbon-neutral egg farm in the United States. Today, our camera crew and I are excited to visit MPS Egg Farms in North Manchester, Indiana, and we can't wait to dive into their story. MPS Egg Farms, now in its sixth generation of family leadership, seamlessly blends the capacity of a major operation with the intimacy of a family-run business. Producing 250 million dozen eggs annually, MPS has built a legacy of innovation and a reputation for reliability. Yet, they are more than just a prolific producer; they are a committed partner. From scaling operations to meet surging demand to innovating alongside customers, MPS goes above and beyond to earn trust and foster growth within their company and the entire community they serve. MPS's commitment to sustainability and community impact makes today's visit particularly special. By partnering with Kipster and Kroger, they have produced the first carbon-neutral egg in the U.S., leading the way in sustainable farming practices that promise a healthier planet and sustainable animal proteins for future generations. MPS's mission reflects a powerful purpose: to enable the best in their team, their customers, and their neighbors so that they can do something extraordinary in their lives and communities. This mission is driven by values cherished for six generations—honesty, integrity, and the commitment to produce safe, nutritious eggs using the fewest resources possible. Today, as I interact with the passionate team at MPS and grill some steaks with them this evening, I’m reminded of the immense potential within the independent, family, and employee-owned distribution and manufacturing businesses. These businesses aren't just supplying America; they feed it, sustain it, and ensure its future. As we wrap up another season of We Supply America, my heart is full of gratitude for all our sponsors, Infor, Infor Distribution, Enable, and Wipfli, who have seen the vision and celebrated the goodness in these incredible businesses. Your support has been crucial in sharing these stories of dedication and impact. Here's to another inspiring visit and the remarkable stories we'll continue to tell. MPS Egg Farms is indeed a force for good, influencing not just the marketplace but the very community it serves. Stay tuned for the stories we will share in our upcoming films.

The National Poultry Improvement Plan is the only regulatory system created and approved by producers and industry members. Our co-CEO, Dan Krouse, serves on the committee to help implement these new regulations.

Indiana is well represented on the General Conference Committee of the National Poultry Improvement Plan! Thanks for your service Dr. David Hermes, Perdue Farms; Mr. Dan Krouse, MPS Eggs; and Dr. Dan Shafer, Maple Leaf Farms. And, honorable mention to Dr. Jim Jurgielewicz, Joe Jurgielewicz & Son; and Dr. Ben Wileman, Select Genetics; who also are involved with Indiana operations. Your thoughtful engagement on the GCC benefits the whole Indiana flock!
