October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it's also home to National Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day, which promotes awareness of post-mastectomy breast reconstruction and ensures access to vital information. It offers support to courageous breast cancer survivors and previvors, aiming to enhance their lives through informed decisions. Currently, less than 25% of women receive critical reconstruction information at the time of mastectomy, but BRA Day is working to change that. Since 2012, MTF Biologics has proudly supported BRA Day through its BRAve Women campaign. BRAve shares inspiring stories of women who chose breast reconstruction, showcasing how tissue donation plays a key role in improving outcomes for survivors. Through tissue donation, we've witnessed life-changing transformations. For more information on BRA Day and breast reconstruction options, visit: https://lnkd.in/eaBNs8nK #BRADay #BreastCancerAwareness #TissueDonation #DonateLife

The Mission Plasticos Gala, Celebration of Global Friendships, was truly a great night filled with inspiration. Kyle Richards gave a heartfelt talk on her reconstruction journey. A special highlight was hearing Morgan Wade perform a powerful song inspired by her BRCA-positive diagnosis. Her lyrics, “I feel less than a woman... I wanna hear little feet on a hardwood floor,” moved everyone in the room.

Did you know that the gift of a dental bone graft can be life-changing? This Dental Implant Awareness Month, we're spotlighting Dr. Regina Fearmonti's inspiring story. As a plastic surgeon and a grateful recipient of a bone graft in her lower mandible after a root canal went awry, Dr. Fearmonti understands the profound impact these grafts can have. The quality and care that go into each graft have not only supported her healing process but also reinforced her trust in the safety and responsibility of tissue donation. #TissueDonation #DentalImplantAwarenessMonth #DonateLife

In honor of IT Professionals Day, we’re shining a light on Sara Wells, who has dedicated over 20 years to MTF Biologics! As the Director of IT Product Management, Sara is a driving force behind the seamless operation of our systems, which are essential to our mission of saving and healing lives. Starting as a business analyst, Sara has grown into a leadership role, where her expertise and passion for innovation continue to make a significant impact. Outside of her professional achievements, Sara is a devoted wife of 20 years and a proud mom of two daughters—one a soccer star and the other a college student. She’s also an avid concert-goer, with Red Rock being her favorite venue. Sara’s commitment to donation is personal, inspired by her mother, a physical therapist who championed donation, and her father, who donated his brain to science. This connection drives her dedication to our mission every day. Beyond her technical role, Sara leads our Fun Committee, blending work with joy and engagement, all while promoting donation awareness. On this IT Professionals Day, we celebrate Sara’s favorite core value: Work Together. She ensures that collaboration is at the heart of our success, bringing the right people together to achieve our objectives. Thank you, Sara, for your exceptional leadership and for making a difference through your work at MTF Biologics! #ITProfessionalsDay

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, we honor Liz, a vibrant artist and entrepreneur whose life changed after a severe fall. Multiple fractures threatened her active lifestyle, but thanks to the support of her community and a generous bone and skin graft donation, Liz made a remarkable recovery. Previously skeptical about organ donation due to her Puerto Rican upbringing, Liz is now a registered donor, forever grateful for the gift that allowed her to continue her passion for art. "My donor is now part of the artist that I am." #HispanicHeritageMonth #TissueDonation #DonateLife

This #DentalImplantAwarenessMonth, we are reflecting on the journey and incredible gifts of tissue donation of our very own, Lauralee Brown. After 30 years of working in donation and transplantation, Lauralee found herself on the receiving end, grateful for the bone grafts from three donors that followed her periodontal surgery. "These gifts have given me a million reasons to smile and inspired me to continue uplifting the legacies of donor families who make this possible," Lauralee says. Last year, Lauralee's mother received donated bone grafts for dental implants after she was unable to eat from poorly fitting dentures. Thanks to the generosity of donors, they now share more reasons to smile, socialize and savor more joyful moments at the table together. #DentalImplantAwareness #TissueDonation #DonateLife
