While this is a huge positive, this rapid growth also brings major challenges – which is why we’re pushing hard on the development of sustainable EV charging infrastructure,” noted Kelvin Chan, head of Urban Access Solutions Company Limited (UAS), a subsidiary of MTR Lab Company Limited.    Kelvin recently sat down with JESSICA LAM of the Hong Kong Economic Journal, to highlight a key collaboration between UAS and PetroChina International (Hong Kong) Corporation Limited (PCHK). The goal is to jointly develop and manage more public EV chargers in Hong Kong to improve access, which follows the successful launch of EV charging services at MegaBox.     "While the city’s EV transport popularity is booming, mass adoption still faces challenges – such as range anxiety," said Kelvin. "Making sufficient chargers available to the public is key to resolving issues like this. This is a significant milestone for us all, as this is PCHK’s launch of the very first batch of EV chargers at MegaBox.   “Launching the EV charging service in collaboration with UAS marks a milestone for us to foray from the traditional oil and gas industry into green EV charging space and provide more comprehensive services for our drivers, meeting the growing need for sustainability in the transport sector.” Mr Sun Jin Hua, General Manager of PetroChina International (Hong Kong) Corporation Limited.
