Today, July 26th is the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). MSAA recognizes this important civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. Everyone at MSAA is deeply saddened by the passing of June Halper, Founder and CEO of CMSC. June had a tremendous presence within the MS community and revolutionized care for individuals with MS. She dedicated her entire career to the MS field. June’s extraordinary work has advanced the medical care of those with MS, and while she will be greatly missed, her contributions will continue to improve the health and well-being of countless individuals. Our thoughts are with June’s family, our colleagues and friends at CMSC, as well as with all those who knew June and benefitted from her selfless devotion to the care of others.
