MoMI is thrilled to announce the three winners of our Community Curation Competition: Ceren Su Çelik, Anna Malina, and Rodell Warner! These digital artists, specializing in motion-based works, will collaborate with our curators to showcase their creations on the Schlosser Media Wall at MoMI's Queens location. Located in the historic Paramount studio complex, MoMI continues to innovate, offering a platform for groundbreaking digital art. The selected works will be displayed alongside over 130,000 artifacts from our permanent collection. This exciting project, sponsored by the Tezos blockchain foundation, kicked off with public voting, making this a true community effort. Each artist brings something unique: - Ceren Su Çelik explores humanity's coevolution with technology through "cyborgs and hybridized elements." - Anna Malina's work, "Kollaps," reflects on fragmented identities in a digital age. - Rodell Warner connects to his Trinidadian roots by altering archival Caribbean images to disrupt early narratives. The exhibition opens on November 22, and visitors will even have the chance to "mint" a fragment of the digital art on the blockchain!
